HACE Livability Academy

A six-week training program for community residents (ages 14+) covers topics including community safety and crime prevention, inclusive community organizing and consensus decision making, outreach, communications, emotional intelligence and self-care, and more. Groups within the program work together to develop projects they think will make a positive impact on the community, and HACE will provide funding to implement eligible projects.
In addition to a unique opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and make neighborhood change, Livability Academy participants will receive:
- Service Learning Credit or volunteer hour fulfillment
- Hand-on, project-based learning in community development
- Breakfast and lunch at every session
- Transportation assistance
- $25 Visa gift card
