In the midst of difficulties with siloed news coverage, Kensington Voice remains steadfast in our mission to provide accurate, timely, and essential information to our community. We broke the news about the creation of the Kensington Caucus. We were the first to bring you community reactions to the new restrictions on legal businesses in parts of Kensington. Our newsroom events bring together local leaders and provide a space for building on our strengths together. But we are more than just a publication.
Our daily public newsroom hours allow residents to connect with us directly. Our efforts have supported residents with voter registration, literacy focused events, access to our computer lab for upskilling, and connections with new potential career opportunities. Our resource guides connect our community organizations and individuals. Events, like our Community Baby Shower earlier this month, allow dozens of partners to come together to serve hundreds of individuals and provide thousands of necessary materials.
We could not do all of this good work without a dedicated team, a dedicated space, and dedicated subscribers like you.
Community media encourages local dialogue, increases discourse around policy issues, fosters an understanding of local cultures, and shares information to improve our lives.
